Exercise when you have no time: Bike to places!

I thought I had no time to exercise today, but it was a nice day. So I decided to bike instead of grabbing a ride with DF. At the end of the day I will have biked almost 4 miles really fast (12-18mph) and earned 3 APs. Not bad when you think about it. And now I can get to places faster! Plus it means I look like a "biker" today, which I think is cool: jeans tucked inside tall black leather boots, cute low ponytail and a black/gray tight-fitting windproof fleece jacket. I'll have to take a picture sometime.

It's supposed to rain tomorrow so I won't be doing the bike thing, but I am planning on doing the Wii Fit at home. Friday it should be nice so I might bike all the way to my clinic (5 miles each way), to earn a roundtrip total of 7 APs. Would be a good way to round up the week.

Not so good day but still 100% OP

I just found out I got charged $100 for not showing up to an appointment that I simply forgot. I feel so stupid (plus I thought the charge was $50, not $100, I don't know when they changed that). I still have appointments left with them so I don't know about contesting.

Anyway it's not been a very good study day at all and my test is tomorrow. Nevertheless I feel proud that I have otherwise stayed on plan, even though I am totally stressing out. I really wanted to open and devour the bag of chocolate chips in my pantry today but instead I made some hot tea. That's a huge step for me.

I'm a little hungrier today but I'm still on track to use my points and maybe the 3APs I earned biking today (yay for running errands quickly AND getting exercise in). Anyway, no matter what happens at the test tomorrow (and in the 64 hours of writing madness that will follow it), I think I should acknowledge and be proud of the small victories.

Biking!

I biked 25 miles on Sunday on my commuter bike and tennis shoes (no toe clips or anything). According to the guy with the Garmin, we kept a 15.5 mile pace, which is pretty impressive considering some of the hills. Next time I'll probably double that distance, but in my workhorse Trek Touring 520 with biking shoes and clipped pedals, which should make it easier.

I'm so glad that there's a group of people at my firm who like to do this, I think there will be trips pretty much every weekend. It's very exciting! :)

The eating is still not going so well, but at least I'm working out.

"Hey skinny!"

That's what the crossing guard in front of my apartment said to me today as I was coming back from my run. He's been working that post for more than two years, and he sees me most mornings and afternoons, so it's a great NSV!

It's halfway through the week and I promised I would check in with the exercise. So how's it going? Monday I stayed on schedule, biking around town for about 5APs earned. Tuesday I changed things up a bit, I did the biking and yoga (vinayasa at home from Yoga Today) but I did not go running. Instead I cleaned the apartment, which really needed it :)

Today I biked about 5 miles running back and forth between the chiropractor and the supermarket to fill up on some fruits before the weekend (5 APs), went for a 4 mile run (4 APs) and did abs and upper body weights using the resistance band at home (1 AP). Not what I had planned but elbows were hurting from yoga yesterday and I decided to take it easy. I really want to go to the class on Thursday, especially since I won't be able to go to the advanced one on Sunday.

So far I'm on track for the rest of the exercise this week, which is good, because the scale has been up for days now :(
